A customer brought in a cherished pendant and matching ring, each featuring a stunning ruby, and expressed a desire to combine the two rubies into one bespoke ring. Our senior goldsmith sat down with her to discuss various options and styles. After a detailed consultation a design was chosen.
With the design finalised the goldsmith began the intricate process of hand carving the ring’s two pieces out of wax. These models were then cast in 18ct white gold ensuring the highest quality and durability
Once cast the two pieces were expertly soldered together to form the shape of the ring.
The final step involved setting the precious rubies into the new ring. After securing the stones the ring underwent an expert clean and polish and rhodium plate bringing out the lustrous shine of the white gold and the vibrant glow of the rubies.
The result is a beautifully crafted bespoke ring, perfectly blending sentimental value with exquisite craftsmanship.
