Some jewellery carries memories that are far too precious to simply put away. Sometimes, the most beautiful way to preserve those memories is to give them a new purpose.
Two sisters came to us with a collection of sentimental yellow gold that they wanted to transform into a bangle each. They wanted both bangles to hold an equal part of the memories within the original jewellery.
Our goldsmith carefully separated each piece into two, ensuring that both sisters received a small part of every item. Each collection was then carefully melted down and formed into a bar of gold.
The gold was rolled out to create the length needed before being expertly shaped into two continuous bangles, giving the sisters matching pieces made from their own sentimental gold.
As a beautiful finishing touch, the two locks from the original gate bracelets were carefully saved and soldered onto each bangle. This special detail meant that a recognisable part of the original jewellery could remain within the new designs.
